Everyone I talk to tells me DLP is junk...no one listens to what this television actually is, a one of a kind LED DLP...best Ebay offer I got was for $350, with the stand!!! On Craigslist some guy told me he could get a beautiful 55'' LCD at Wal Mart for cheaper than I'm selling mine...so I suppose buyers just don't see the value.

Since no one wants the TV for what it's worth, what if I upped the price to $950 again and included these(in addition to the $250 stand)-

WD TV LIVE PLUS HD Media player
Onkyo 5.1 Surround with powered Sub
Logitech Harmony 700 programmable universal remote

I will also include an optical, HDMI and ethernet cable as well as a surge protector/power strip so everything can work out of the 'box'. The remote is already programmed for used with the TV, WD TV LIVE and the Onkyo HT.

Would also be willing to sell things separately. The Logitech remote has to go with the WD TV, since my dog ate the remote it came with. Not accepting low-ball offers on the TV.

The problem with DLP is, that is not sleek and sexy like an LCD or LED tv is. It can't be hung on the wall or any of that. Not to mention its a few years old now, technology has advanced.

Also Craiglist is full of D-bags, plain and simple. Especially around here.

That being said, My folks have a 56" 1080p DLP that was one of the 1st 1080p DLP's by Samsung (old one, requiring a bulb). When they 1st got it, I was amazed at the time I installed home theaters for a living, and even my cousin, the owner of the company was blown away by the image as well.

Now, it probably needs a new bulb, but my parents hardly use it

I would either suck it up and take the best offer you can or keep it. I just can't see it being worth what you want, not because its low quality, but because its not thin and sleek like the majority of other TVs. To be honest, if I had the space for it, I would SERIOUSLY consider it, but alas I do not, nor would my wife let me. LOL

Good Luck with the Sale man, I hope you find someone reasonable to buy it.

Well, 13'' isn't very deep...90% of the LCDs I've seen in use are on a stand, they aren't wall mounted. This actually weighs LESS(just looked on amazon, 55'' Samsung LCD shipping weight is 95lbs, this DLP is 72) than most non-LED LCDs that are 55'' and up, and I have definitely seen wall mounts for DLPs. And as far as the advancements, picture quality of this set is still comparable to LCD sets, and doesn't do that "smoothing" thing that most of the 120+hz LCDs do by default that make HD look like it was filmed with a handy cam, yet, like those sets, this is 3d-capable.

As for my set in comparison to a bulb DLP, there isn't really a comparison. The LEDs produce more color, and have none of the cons of a bulb based set. Everyone who has watched something on my TV in the last 6 months has commented on the picture quality. Thing's a beast. I'm not sucking up just because people don't want to educate them and think they know more about this television than I do(not implying you of course, but the people who've emailed me or offered me less than half my asking price). With all that I'm bundling, this IS a good value. All the cables, a programmable remote, a Netflix/pandora/media box that can have content streamed to it from a mobile phone, and a 5.1 home theater system...in addition to the stand and tv?

Not saying your TV is a bad value, just giving you some reasoning as to why you're having trouble. Sorry if it came across wrong. I was just trying to help. Heh

I understand the reasoning and I appreciate your post. I'm just frustrated at the amount of time that's passed....Honestly, as a bundle, what should I price this at?
