[RWG] Thermaltake Frio Advanced CPU Cooler

You may have all noticed that i haven't uploaded any CPU Cooler reviews for almost a month now and the reason behind that is the fact that most of you agreed that we should put an end to our LGA1366 CPU Cooler database and start over with an LGA2011 one. However after a full month our 3930X CPUs have yet to arrive and so since it wouldn't make sense to test some CPUs on the 3960X we have here on loan and the rest on our soon to be permanent 3930X's i decided that it would be best if we continued updating our LGA1366 database until of course the new CPUs arrive. To that end for the past week i've been working on 3 of the latest CPU Coolers to hit the market the first of which is the quite large Frio Advanced by Thermaltake.

IDK, I've seen worse and it looks as though you could easily paint it to match a color theme easily enough.....swap out fans because 60+db is not a good thing at load and you're good to go. Performs decent enough. The review would be much better if they sorted the charts by result value though. The way they have it sorted now really makes it hard to see where it fits in with what has been reviewed previously.

I have wondered why companies haven't really used this design before. The idea of a full closed tunnel in-out setup. This almost forces all the fan-wind through the entire heatsink. I wonder if it works.

True but the problem is that you're stuck with those fans. Unless they can come up with a universal shroud that accomodates all 120mm fans, now that would be nice smile.gif
