GPU artifacting in heaven benchmark because of new RAM sticks ?

Hey there,

Recently I bought a second kit of RAM sticks which is exactly the same as I already had. All the RAM slot were filled on my MB and I was now at 8 gb.

However, whenever I tried to use heaven benchmark, I got A LOT of artifacting in the first few seconds, leading to a total crash of the benchmark (along with frequent display drivers failure on windows 7 64bit and even some infinite texture stretching in an "soft" game like minecraft)

I decided to remove the sticks this morning and now I ran a couple of heaven benchmark run with no problem at all...

Seems like my problem is solved... but I was wondering if I'm just getting a little "break" before my gpu dies (It's an MSI GTX 570 and only 1 year old, never deactivated OCP) or if all those problems could really be related to faulty or even just too much RAM in my system...

TIA,
Ol' Bendy

scan it w/ stock clocks w/ EVGA OC scanner

i would run mem test. system memory would not cause artifacting i think. video memory would but not system memory. it will cause crashes tho.

memtestg80 already ran 500 pass with 1024 Mb ... and for evga oc scanner I need to have a video card manufactured by evga... however msi got something similar and I have no problem what so ever so far... Any other idea ? I know that I have the factory OC'ed version so could it be possible that the push from 1900mhz to 2100mhz could be causing the artifacting ? Even If it has been tested in factory... ?

i guess that the memory controller in the cpu is not liking that much ram. i would try to bump the voltage of the ich voltage a bit and see if that helps.
