Looking to add GPU's to my loop

Thread Starter
I've decided enough is enough and want to finally add my 2 GTX 470's to my loop.

I currently have a 240 Radiator and a Heatkiller 3.0 for my processor. I have a Jingway DP-1200 pump that pushes 800L/hr.

Any input as to what blocks, radiator, and fans I should use would be great. Budget is about 300 for the blocks and rad.

Well, for water blocks, I'd probably go with one of the EK ones... You could go with copper and plexi, or Nickel (EN) + Acetal. You'd want to add a 240 or 360 radiator most likely, but radiator choice is going to come down to what you plan on using for fans.

At the minimum you'll want at least a 120 rad per GPU you plan on cooling. For the most efficent use of those rads having 2 fans in a push pull set up will be your best bet. Bakageta has already pointed out good Blocks to go with.

Any thoughts on the heatkiller x3 blocks?
And I was thinking about a 360 rad with fans in push/pull configuration. Any suggestions on rad and fan combo would be great.

I believe the EK block performs better than the Heatkiller x3 for 470's, though I'm not certain. As for fans, the GentleTyphoon AP-15's are incredibly popular here, but I personally don't use them as I can't justify the price, often in the $25 each range. I typically have very budget-oriented builds, so I'm a big fan of Yate Loons, as they can be had for $4-$5 per fan and perform reasonably well. Pick a speed that you're happy with the noise level on, and there's quite a few radiators they'll be fine on. I use high speeds on a Black Ice Xtreme III, I probably wouldn't use the lower two on anything with a high FPI, but any of the 3 should be fine on an SR-1, EX240/360, or RX240/360. Pick one that works for you, size- and price-wise, they're all solid radiators.

Sounds like you want to use full cover blocks, but I will still throw out my solution for 2x 6870s...
sli bridge + 2x mcw82 universal blocks works really well for me. With the universal block I have swiftech's full cover heatsink for the VRMs and the ram, works really well, but I dont see a heatsink specifically for the 470. Run your GPUs in parallel too, my temps are better all around with them in parallel over serial.
