Skyrim PC patch 1.4 beta released

I just tried it out to check how the fps progressed.

Standing on the Jarl's balcony in skyrim looking down at the Gildergreen tree was netting me 24fps stock.

Adding Skyboost nudged me up to 30fps.

With the 1.4 patch, 50fps.

Will add more feedback later. Everyone else welcome to chime in.

The patch is certainly a boon for this game. Looks like the support team are getting it right.

I havent had any issues with any of the mods I have installed and it seems to be playing well with FXAA injector.

I disabled Skyboost, as I figured it wasnt needed anymore.

In short, more FPS, less hassles thumb.gif

Addit: Just be aware, since it is a beta, you need to set your Steam settings to accept Beta's before the download starts. It took me awhile to work that out redface.gif

This patch is simply amazing. Every where I am reading and from my own experience with this patch everyone should get 2/3's of an fps increase in some cases if not most. I have everything set pretty good in the ini. files and added ambient occlusion with every nvidia control panel feature enabled. Smooth and clean.

Really impressed with the patch. I was curious how my laptop would run it, 8600gt, 2.4GHz C2D, and 4gb of ram. Before patch barely broke 20fps, with it I am now over 30fps. I don't plan on playing on my laptop but good to know that I can now. Definitely get the patch if you aren't happy with your performance.
