Switching to the big red bus with a terrible driver, got questions

Thread Starter
so i sold my 2 580's and am waiting to pick up 2 6gb verions of the 7970. i will be doing 5790*1080 on most games. i was wondering about eyefinity, can i run it along side in crossfire or is one or the other? my buddy is having issues with it were he doesn't think crossfire is also activated. do all the monitors have to be connected to 1 card or can they be split into 2 cards? any hints tips or suggestions?

also will i need powered display port or can i just use the cheaper active ones

i fear nvidia will drop the ball when it comes to vram so here i come again ati! thumb.gif

they can be done in crossfire and eyefinity... all the monitors must be in one card... and drivers are a PITA but when you find one that works always write it down... some drivers work better then others doesnt matter on there age wink.gif other then that have fun
