Help with virus infested computer? I really need help.

Thread Starter
So my friend someone how a bunch of viruses on his computer, I don't really care how.

I've gotten rid of most of them and I'm down to the last one (I believe).

It redirects all searchs in the Google Chrome search to Redtube... so it's like you were searching it on the Redtube website. Hilarious, right?

I've done a full virus scan. Nothing.
Default search engine is still set to Google.
Nothing abnormal in the task manager.

Combo Fix, TDSS Killer. Try those.

Also - burn any or all of the freeware rescue discs out there (F-Secure, Avira, AVG, Kapersky, etc) to CD and boot from them to scan.

Remove the HDD from the system and scan on another system in a locked down user account with Sophos.

This. AVG Free almost always does the job for me when im fixing friends PC's. I always keep a copy on my thumbdrive on my keychain.

Use Malwarebytes and SuperantiSpyware.

Did you try Recovery?

Sometimes after you remove a virus/trojan the changes it made to your OS require fixing. Perhaps it setup a proxy, look for one of those. Or Perhaps it made changes to the hosts file (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034).
