Thanks, I have a pretty decent 3.5" bay NZXT touch screen fan controller that I can hook it up to.

I just noticed that I misread the Excalibur, i thought it said 3000RPM... Looks like I'll be getting a UK, unless anyone knows of a more powerful 120mm fan ??

That would help your temperatures alot! Along with having both fans around the same way.. I.E One pushing air through and one pulling it through!
I assume you have the Hyper 212+ or EVO?
If so, you may be inclined to get some electrical tape and put on the sides of the fins. As this keeps the airflow in a channel and can drop temps a little.
Goodluck with it!
Oh, and let us know how it goes! wink.gif
EDIT:
My board has a single gap too, i got the cards to have no temp difference!
If crossfire is working, i can assume that when ones at 60c the other is too!
But in reality my temps are about 72c at full load!

Thanks Matt, that's good advice. I'll try that

Here is the CPU Fan I have, it's a TX3 Evo: http://www.mwave.com.au/sku-18020629-Cooler_Master_Hyper_TX3_EVO_CPU_Cooler_Supports_Intel_Socket_LGA_1366_1156_1155_

Sounds good. I think a jet prop is what i need. I don't really care much about the noise. I can only find overseas distributors though.

Does anyone know of a good Australian retailer that stock these delta fans? (or any 120mm fan greater than 3000RPM)

Uh, i hate to say it. But if you're wanting to overclock the Hyper TX3 is a bit weak, try with a Hyper 212 EVO. That should be fine for 4.2GHz, that's your high CPU temp mostly solved.. D:

I have attached another fan to it, so instead of one like stock, it has 2 now. CPU idles at 35*C and I have never it go over 70*C @ 4.4GHz, TBH, thought this cooler was sufficient ... I am more worried about my top GPU sitting on 80*C

aren't these GPU's and CPU's supposed to handle up to 99*C ?

I may be wrong/misinformed, lol...

Yeah, they are if they absolutely need to.
It's quite bad for everyday use, the lower the better.. It allows for more OC headroom and longer life of components on the graphics card(s)

And no! The CPU isn't meant to go past 71c or something! But again lower is better and allows for more OC headroom, how did you apply the thermal paste?

Try 4.2GHz with lower voltages if you can.. see if that puts you in the 65c region which is better than being at 70c.

I do have a 2.5" ssd but it sits in a 2.5" bay already right at the bottom

What case have you got?

You may be able to cable tie (or somehow mount) 1 or 2 of them in behind the motherboard tray!

Also may i ask, why so many HDD's?

A couple of things I may also suggest in addition to all the great advice you've already received.

Granted I have older cards in my rig, but I had my soundcard which had a metal plate cover with lighting right up next to one of my GPUs and it was one of the causes for extra heat. I don't know if that might be the same case for you in regards to those extremely bright orange lights in your tower.

I know they are not right up next to your GPUs but they also produce heat if only a small amount.

Second, I don't know if your inclined to do so but you can also consider attaching some additional Intake fans next to the 120mm side panel fan. This I believe would create a positive setup as you would have more cool air coming into the fan than you have now.

I am surprised that you are getting those kinds of temps on those GPUs because I have a set of 3 8800 GTS's and the highest I get on those cards is 70-71C. Of course I know that my cards are older and run hotter than most other cards built during the time.

Hope this helps! thumb.gif

My case is an "Antec Nine Hundred Two Version 3"

I've got a S**T load of wires stuffed behind the motherboard tray!, Even without them, I just had another look then and I wont be able to put one in.

Wow, omg you're right, 72.6°C is the rated temp for the 2500k from http://ark.intel.com/products/52210?wapkw=ALL(2500k)
I'll have to do something about that....

Thanks for the tips...

haha the orange LEDs... They are actually pulled out of my g15 keyboard, now the keys do not light up at all.... I tried to replace them with blue LEDs but it just didn't work very well... Anyway, they are 1mm Surface mount LEDs on long skinny PCBs, I really doubt they generate enough heat to make a difference, but I will definitely test it. I've mounted a switch to the rear of my case to turn them off with.

As for the additional intake fans, I measured and it looks like I can fit a 60mm fan above and below the 120mm one.

Also, what do you mean by create a positive setup? Do you mean that they all blow inwards instead of outwards, creating pressure inside the case?
