I would like to throw in my 2 cents and blame EA as well. EA deals with publishing. Dice deals with the game itself. I understand game bugs and balancing can take awhile, but battlelog is a front-end system, part of the game access stuff. Part of the publishing end of things. EA took too much control, and dice assumed it had no choice but to contract with EA, let it get out of their hands....and now we have this mess. If all of the social crap that battlelog is, didn't exist nobody would feel a loss. 3rd party sites are better anyway like bf3stats and gametracker(altho they were/are slow on the uptake.) BC2 towards the end of its life got really good at banning almost all cheaters out there except the few. GGC and PBBans and streaming admins got the rest.

tl;dr
Whatever it is, this needs to get fixed.
How loud do we have to shout before EA cares?

It's the same. Exact. Principal.

A more realistic way of looking at it would be if said jaguar had a remote security flaw and someone could exploit the remote starting/opening and take off with the car. If 25%+ Jaguars made in 2006 had this problem then that is a significant number. You're comparing apples to oranges. My friends have had their iPods stolen, did they report it to the police? No, they went out and bought new ones. You can't possibly look at stealing a Jaguar and banning someone on BF3 possibly the same...stop choosing what you want to hear/read and look at the real picture. I'm done arguing with you, a problem that affected less than0.000025% of people (less since more people bought it after release) is hardly anything to worry about since they will fix it.

You are very misinformed sir and gullible for that matter.

PB and GGC global bans have been happening since early 2000.

Read -> (like really click on the link and read the entire post) The Unerring Punkbuster season 2

This is Season 3. Most people are still numb and gullible because it hasn't happened to YOU........yet.

Problem is, it still hasn't been fixed since early 2000. Hackers are out to prove a point. Telling you people to wake up and get out of that hole your in.

Because the fact that PB is garbage and once a hit title comes out the makers are usually too lazy to roll out updates.

Every wonder why Blizzard games aren't affected by this? Because Blizzard is on top of their crap and don't use flawed and useless clients like PB.

I completely understand what you're saying and makes total sense. But;

You are failing to see the big picture. IF you read the initial post about this on the AA forums. One of the very first things he states;

After discovering the loophole he synthesized a program in 5 (300 seconds) minutes to ban legit players. Okay now think about it, if this was so easy to create, then it was much much more easier to make additions to the program exporting a text file with all the server's players and initiate a batch of the command, in 300 more seconds you just banned an entire server. Okay if that was so simple you can do even a little bit more work and guess what happens? You can eventually make a script that just sits and pulls player lists all night and banning each of them in a matter of seconds. You could ban the entire BF3 community (assuming they're all running the ban streams on every server) in one night leaving your computer on.

Yeah it's kind of an issue.

It's how they feel important in an otherwise unimportant life. Most of them feel ostracized from society and their outlet of anger is to impose their will in a video game. They feel like gods in their virtual world.
Cool and social people have to deal with these depressed sociopaths. Good thing we can turn off the video game, but the game is who they are.

Young cheaters become adult cheaters. Our future looks bright eh?
