Thank you for the link! Here come hours of idea stealing.

So PWM controlled 200mm fan/rad is not the best idea for front?

To my knowledge, PWM controlled 180 and 200mm fans don't even exist.

Well it will be 240mm as opposed to 200 and I'm using it to cool 2 6970's so i need the most surface area i can get.

That is the second most disappointing thing I've ever been told. I assumed because they had the MB connector then it was PWM controlled. Full force all the time would be annoying. Bummer.

I think surface area on the 200 is larger than the 240 (pi*r^2).

Also, your build is very close to what I had in mind. You're a jerk for making me feel so unoriginal biggrin.gif. It's looking great.

I definitely will!

Do you (or anyone else reading this) have experience comparing which of these two options would have better cooling:

-top 2x120 intake on a 240 res
-front 2x120 push and 2x120 pull exhaust on a 240 res

I want the one that will be cooler to feed to the CPU. The front exhaust will have hotter air but twice the fan power, so I'm not sure which is better.

Thoughts?

I plan on doing top and front intake both in push/pull and having the rear and bottom as exhaust .

I'm going to copy you. I didn't think there was room for push/pull on top.

Turns out I'm not smart enough to copy you, yet. Are you cutting a hole for bottom exhaust or were you talking about PSU? I want the window in side panel, so that fan location isn't available.
