I'm building a new computer and bought a 256 GB M4 a month or so ago. I had planned to use it for my operating system and software drive and something else for data. A few days ago I started thinking about getting another SSD and running one for the operating system and one for data instead of going with a mechanical hard drive for data. As I was looking at reviews the Kingston HyperX 240 GB seemed to be getting lots of very favorable performance reviews. Then New Egg had a short term $60 rebate program on the Hyper X 240. Ended up at $430 - the rebate total $370 for the HyperX bundle. From what I saw in many reviews it's supposed to be a very good SSD and I got a good price. The problem is I don't see anything really favorable about it in this forum. Is there something bad about this SSD I don't know about?
