sound card for roughly 75 dollars? Help the noob XD

So I recently bought a pair of audio technica ath-ad700's, and a zalmon clip-on mic.
About a week in, I've realized the onboard audio is probably limiting my sound quality.
So, I have decided to invest money in a sound card.
I'm looking for around 75 dollars, and please don't go fanboy to the max at other fanboys, it gets me really undecisive about stuff.

I'll be using the card for gaming and music, so a good mix between the two would be good. If that's not a good choice, then I would lean more to music.
So far I am looking at some of these cards. I'm not exactly sure where to start, so I've been walking in the dark aside from reviews so far.

I'm open to ALL suggestions.'

All help appreciated biggrin.gif

The Xonar DX is a great choice for a balance between music and games. It is probably the best one you can do for the money and the rebate is just icing on the cake.

This. If you need a PCI card, the D1 is the same thing, but PCI.

No thanks on that will. I've had my good share of bad creative experiences. However, I do have one question. What is the difference between the xonar ds and the donar dx? I read they have the same audio processor or w/e u call that.
