What Should I Upgrade? ~$170 Limit

Thread Starter
I have about $170 after taxes come in and I'd like to spend it on my pc...but I'm not exactly sure what I should get or upgrade lol. I'm open to suggestions. I was thinking maybe a mechanical keyboard like a blackwidow? Maybe upgrade my RAM to 8 gigs? I also just got a new pair of headphones so maybe a sound card? Like I said I'm open to suggestions! Thanks guys! biggrin.gif

I would say RAM for sure since its pretty cheap right now. But to be honest, i cant really suggest anything system wise. What is your cooling situation?

das keyboard and 8 gbs of ram would be awesome setup. i love my das it has mx blues but your choice in switches will decide what keyboard you go with.

i was going to initially say ssd but you have one. so the keyboard and ram are a good choice

Another ssd for raid and 4 more gigs.

Should be a solid upgrade.

Do you have a link? I'm not familiar with mechanical really so I'm good for trying anything. I'm a hard typer and my Microsoft keyboard is getting worn quick lol. Any reason for the das over the blackwidow? Jw.

Definitely RAM.What kind of headphones did you just get?If it's a pretty expensive 5.1 gaming headphone then you might wanna get a good sound card.
Can't tell if you have 4GB RAM (2x2GB) or a single 4GB stick. I would at least upgrade the RAM to 8GB. Save the rest so you can get some quality parts like a Sata III SSD and a z68 board. As far as keyboards go I use a Razer Lycosa and like it a lot, very similar to black widow.

I do have a 5.1 setup but I only got some Samson SR850's.... Should be arriving in the mail soon! Lol.

I have 2x2gb. I was thinking I could sell those and just get 2x4gb sticks. I was looking at the GSKILL Sniper 1866 kit.
