Not necessarily that you created 2 partitions. the fact that you created one small one with the OS is your problem. the OS partition will continue to get larger the more you use it. windows updates, additional programs you install, etc.. so even if you create a larger OS partition now.. you are still attempting to keep it small enough that you keep the free space on the other partition as large as possible. You are aware that the OS cannot use this space even though it is free space.. aren't you? the SSD also cannot use this space as it goes through its GC routine to clean up the OS partition. I'll state it the last time.. It is your partitioning scheme that has hurt the performance of your SSD. unless you do something different, any temporary improvement you may see now, will only come back to haunt you later.
