Officially official FX-8150 Bulldozer benchmarks WITH Microsoft hotfix patches - Page 3

Moral of the story is Bulldozer is still slow especially in games regardless of the reason.

rolleyes.gif There are only 2 games in that review which would show a noticeable difference.

And I can take a 960T, unlock it and it will smash the FX-8120.

I don't think there are any benches where a FX-8120 beats a 3960X, even with a huge overclock.

There was only four games tested bro.

I do think it's funny that Seronx preaches constantly though that with just a few tweaks he can make Bulldozer the fastest thing out there. If this could be done it would have been done. The only people on this site that discredit benchmarks so much are BD apologists.

Are you suggesting that everyone should go out of their way and spend much more time and money to do so, in order to manually optimize their software for non-Intel compilers, when the end result would usually still run slower on both AMD and Intel CPUs?

This is what would happen, in many cases. The gap between the two architectures may well decrease slightly, but overall performance would go down, even on AMD. Intel's compilers are used because they are often the best available.

I just posted a benchmark showing it can sorry for blowing up your brain...

MinFPS is the most important benchmark thumb.gif and AMD FX 8 Cores usually have the highest in GCC/Microsoft/PGI optimized games

and the AMD part was at disadvantage 1333MHz RAM as well
