Can't Update Drivers G210M

Thread Starter
I have an Asus UL50VT laptop with the NVidia GeForce G210M GPU. Basically I'm trying to update my drivers because I haven't since I got it and every NVidia driver that I download including the new beta tells me that it failed. "The graphics driver could not find compatible hardware" is the error I keep getting.

What's wrong here?

Thanks

Are you sure you got the right drivers?

Which windows do you have installed 32 Bit or 64 Bit?

I have that same laptop. I had the same problem, here is the solution! You need the Nvidia 296.10 (inf file)
get the 296.10 drivers (the best one) from the Nvidia website.
You can find or tweak the INF file and modify it to allow your installer to work and get the drivers installed properly.

I assume it's (x64) like mine. I have Win 7 Pro (x64) also. Either 32 bit or 64, you want the x64 driver.

Is the best driver update out for this laptop. Download the inf file online, I do not have the link currently, however it's not
hard to find... Or e-mail me & I'll send you one of mine, if you like.
I can even send you the drivers too. I had a hard time figuring it out, but now it works great!
As far as why this is, it's due to the chipset with ASUS and the Nvidia card, Win. 7 has a hard time detecting it, but the work around
is fairly simple, though it may take a few attempts, but it does work.
