hey eveyone, i have an ASUS mobo that went out and was good to RMA, but ASUS said they will email me the nessissary paperwork when the boards are availible to send out as rma's.

is this a usual thing taking this long after the holidays? I've called twice, and they wont tell me much info.

I'd give them another week or 2.

If it's not back by then, give em a call and ask for a manager, then ask for the real manager after you get the "manager."

well, ASUS has an Advanced Rapid replacement program, where (what they told me) they will mail me a new board first, and i mail them the old one back. But before they mail me one, I have to fill out a form and fax/email it to them, but they wont email me the paperwork till the boards are in and ready to be shipped out as RMA boards.

It really sucks on my end, I had a $200 board blow after 2 weeks, and had to purchase a replacement $200 mo-bo while waiting for my first one to be RMA'ed, and really, i'm loosing money, as I won't be able to sell a board and recoup my money without taking a loss...

( could not return the mo-bo to the place i bought it from, as they have a 10 day return policy on mo-bo's )

I wonder if there is any way I could be credited, or possibly sent another item that I could use, vs having 2 of the same boards now, one that is brand new, but useless to me, and would take a $50 loss if i tried to re-sell it.

EDIT: does anyone know if ASUS has an online chat?

I have a failed WD hard drive (from ~4 months ago) that I haven't even sent in yet, for obvious reasons. laugher.gif There's no telling how long this one will take...
