Help Wanted: Installing BootCamp on Early 2008 MacBook.

Thread Starter
Alright here we go.

I just installed my 4GB of RAM on my Macbook. Now, I'm ready to install Windows 7 with bootcamp.

I'm a little confused here. I bought this laptop used so I do not have a recovery CD. Will I need this when installing Windows 7 with bootcamp?

I've read and read and read online; some people say you'll need it and some people will say all you need is your copy of Windows 7, I have no idea what to do.

This is my first Macbook so don't beat me up to much. :/

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I'm not sure whether you have solved this or not but I'll reply anyway.

What version of Mac OS X are you running? You can find that out if you click the Apple > About This Mac and and underneath the bold "Mac OS X" text you should see Version 10.x.x. (10.4 is Tiger, 10.5 is Leopard, 10.6 is Snow Leopard, 10.7 is Lion.)

If you're running Lion you should have the option to download the drivers for your Mac when you run Boot Camp. If not, you'll need the original disc that came with your MacBook so that you can install the drivers for your hardware when you first boot into Windows.
