I've been wanting to play a new Star Wars game for a long time. There haven't really been any good ones since KOTOR or BF2 (if that should even count), but my friend was telling me about it and it sounded kind of fun. I've never played an MMO before, and I'm curious on the time it'd require to even be worth the monthly fee.

I have a girlfriend and a 1 year old daughter (which both require attention), and a full time job, not to mention a side job repairing computers. I'm able to get in a few rounds of BF3 at least once a night, but mainly less than an hour. Is this enough time to really enjoy the game? Or would I be better off avoiding it due to time constraints? It's mainly the same reason I've never finished Mass Effect or even tried Skyrim.

Why shouldn't BF2 be counted? It was awesome!!!!!

I dont think you should get it though. You dont seem to have enough time on your hands to put into this game to justify it.
Try Skyrim instead, or Batman Arkham City, or The Witcher 2, or Saints Row 3, etc.etc.etc. These games you can take your time to play it and not worry about getting your monthly fee's worth. Plus, they are very good games as well.

As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't play MMORPGs if you have a 'life'... My will has been strong, I've wanted to play WoW since it came out... They take a good chunk of your time and energy.

I'd have to say no. I have heard pretty bad reviews about it and how it's unfinished and so on. You also have to pay a monthly fee to play. Thanks but no thanks.

Well for one, you can have a "life" and play MMOs, just in moderation compared to those with more free time, or without a career and or job. Two, I have heard from many sources, including friends who are AVID MMO players, that it is a sinking ship that has zero endgame content, and is a waste of time and money.

So no, as of now, I would not bother. Guild Wars 2 open beta is coming out sometime March, so I'd wait for that smile.gif

My friends are praising it and saying that they wish this is what WoW was like back in vanilla... I just shake my head and wait for them to get it.

I honestly didn't think the game was that great. If you want to try an MMO, you can wait for AION online, it's going free to play next month.

The only reason I didn't think the game was that great was because I was expecting more out of it besides dialogue, it was just a bunch of hype for me. It's still collect x of this and kill x of this no matter what way you look at it.. Endgame is still the same, but there's a quest along with flashpoints, so it's just a heroic with a story that repeats over and over again.

I'm probably going to get rage for saying this, but I'm saying that I personally didn't enjoy it, I'm not trying to start a war debating whether a game is good or not, because that's an opinion to everybody and cannot be argued..

grab star wars the force unleashed 2

i never finished it, but its pretty epic. let my friend take it home and he loves it.

i personally thought the game was absolutely dreadful when i played the beta. but i ended up buying it today because my (other) friend wants to play it. its not even done downloading and i regret it.

Yeah I played through TFU and TFU2. Decent games but TFU2 was BUGGY on PC. Hope they do a better port on TFU3.

Well, I think you've all convinced me to not play it. lol Any good games out that fit my jump into and play personality?
