Need to test GPU fan. Can I use a 4pin molex to jump 4pi PWM

Thread Starter
So I have some GPU fans that plug directly in the GPU PCB via their 4pin plug. I would like to test these fans by using my little igear power supply with its 4 pin molex end. My question is which wires do I need to isolate and which wires do I need to jump to test them? Thanks.

You should have a red or a yellow (normally) those are the 12v, and a black (ground obviously). Those are the 2 that you will want to tie into the yellow and black on the molex. The other two colors will be the sensor and the control wires. Not needed for the test. If you arent sure if they are 12v fans you can always run the power wire of the fan (red or yellow normally) to the red (5v) on the molex.
