Problem with mice...

Thread Starter
Getting fully sick of this now...

I am currently running a MS wireless mouse 5000. The cursor is jumpy and jagged. The Logitech wireless mouse it replaced was also the same way. The mouse works, barely enough to put up with. Sometimes it is a real PITA. I have read online about a possible issue with Windows 7 64. One of my other Windows 7 64 builds works fine with a wired mouse.

I am ready to get wired, and ready for no more jumpy mouse. I do a lot of photo editing, so need a precision mouse.

Can anyone please help explain why this problem is happening, and recommend a great wired mouse.

Cheers all...

Depends on how much you want to spend but wire is always better IMO. I really like the Deathadder 3.5k dpi. It's pretty basic, smooth, no nonsense, save for the blue LED. Plus, in inexpensive compared to other options.

Wow found a good deal on it at officedepot, 45 dollars!

If you have a pen tablet, the drivers can conflict with your mouse and cause all sorts of annoying problems. I know that my wacom tablet drivers make my mouse unusable in many FPS games, and sometimes in regular windows applications. I have to uninstall the driver every time I want to play BF3; disabling the driver does nothing for me, and the situation is only fixed by removing the drivers. I don't know if you have a pen tablet, but that was my problem.
In another note, I hate anything wireless.... I'm always much more fond of wired devices, and I always seem to have less problems. Again, that is my experience, not the law of the land.

Thank you for the advice. I did a bit of research, and ordered the Deathadder mouse. Hope it works...

I do not use a pen tablet, still wish I knew why the mouse is having problems..

Cheers..

You're welcome my friend, sorry I could not help you more. I hope you enjoy your purchase, I happen to be very fond of Razer mice, and have had an overall great experience with them. biggrin.gif
