Actually, up to 6 USB 3.0 ports means that a motherboard could remove all of the back USB 2.0 ports and replace them with USB 3.0. I know a few boards that could happen on, but I don't think that may be true in all cases as they'll put 4 in the back and use the other 2 for the front ports, but more than likely many high-end boards will stick more controllers for them on there.
