Remove pretty blue shrouds from CF HIS X Turbo X 6850's to improve cooling?

Thread Starter
As these cards cool from middle mounted fan and vent into case, would it make any sense to remove shrouds & let Frt/side intake & rr/top exhaust pull MORE air past heatsinks?
I have read a few posts that claim net reduction of 2-3 degrees C.
My 3D profile in AB is set to 900/1090 @ 1.16 & most demanding games(BF3,Metro 2033) get my #1(top) card to 73c,#2 card gets to 68c-
Could use a few less degrees..
Anybody have before/after info?

If its like this one.
Then taking off the shroud would hurt the cooling since it isnt distributing the air as well.

If you want to get serious about cooling but still on the budget have a look at what iv done with my 2 6850s.

The temperature is not going to improve but getting worse. Becasue the air from the fan is scattered around and not directed and concentrated at the heatsinks.
