Anybody want to help me get DDWRT running?

Thread Starter
I've found minimal info on installing to a TRENDnet TEW-673GRU. The bit I did find here isn't available thanks to the infamous shutdown of Megaupload. It says something about changing the last byte, which I don't know how to do - I've never played around with DD-WRT before. However, everyone seems to love it, so I thought I'd see what all the hooplah is about. I was wondering if there's a good dummy's guide to installing this stuff. I can do it through Debian or Windows if one is easier.

I do have a decent amount of experience working with Cisco and Juniper CLIs if that is any help

it doesn't require any of CLI commands it requires you to edit the .bin file you are going to upload probably so that it can be recognized as a firmware file.

And the instructions seem quite self explanatory.

Well i don't know for your specific router, but to do it usually you just
- download the file from the DD-WRT website.
- change the file extension if needed.
- upload the firmware onto the router using its update feature.
Simple.
