Parallel/Serial - BIG MISTAKE = DIFFERENT BLOCKS! - Page 2

Ok, I have no experience whatsoever in water cooling but, changing the gpus setup from parallel to serial is only a matter of removing one of the tubes connecting them and plugging the place where that tube used to pass with stoppers (that usually come together with the blocks, so you should have those), no?

I mean, you will need more coolant or distilled water since you have to flush the system before doing that but, that should be all, right?

What tubing is that you say you need?

Are the cards connected by a solid parallel crossfire bridge instead of tubing?

My setup:

353

Now please tell me what would you do to keep the outlet in the top card in the same place as it is now?

My idea is to connect the inlet to lower card and the outlet to the top card, so that the water would effectively travel up, from bottom card to the top one.

Yup that's the only way you can go with serial to have the outlet be the top card.

Yeah, that would work.

you could also try this:

353

It will depend on what fits easier or makes more sense inside your loop. smile.gif

That is easy way out, but I want the big loop of tubing just the way it is now smile.gif

Pro-skilzzz visualisation of what I will do tongue.gif Of course I will need two 90 degree fittings at the bottom card to keep it nice.

Ok so I changed it and it is even worse now...

On the left: crysis 2 at ultra, 5760x1080 for 30 mins, and on the right same thing but with parallel gpu's:

298

86... isn't that dangerous?

Should I buy more rad? Or get a better pump?

Did you check your block mounts? At least your serial is working..the card afters heated up a little more but that spread is more than 10C each card..
