FX-4100 Damn impressive....

Thread Starter
As stated I am running a AMD FX-4100. I have read all about the fact that it should be a "GOAT" , it is epic fail, it doesn't do well on bench marks, etc....
As I type this post I am streaming 2 music videos, running Prime 95 on my 4.7 GHZ OC (for over 3hours), and also watching my local radar on weather underground. OH I almost forgot I also have up my twitter page , my facebook page , and a few other forums I frequent. I can surf @ well over 5 GHZ(5.2 started some issues) without issue , but gaming and benching is out of the question. I think I am being held back by my memory, but will say without a doubt this chip is KILLING my 965 BE . Specs are in my rig below, only change is the H100 cooler.....which BTW CPU temps are 44C max .
BENCHMARKS BE DAMNED!!!!!!! I LOVE IT

There are benchmarks and then the real world. Where price vs performance comes into play:) sounds like you did well!

My feeling is if you have any quad core up near 4Ghz and a video card release within the last year you are good to go.

Its actually a pretty good processor, but it kind of looks like your an AMD hater from your sig lol. You could either go with a 960T or a 4100 and get a AM3+ mobo and get Piledriver when its out.

Also it seems like this thread is going to shut down due to Intel Fanboyism, oh just a usual day at OCN isn't it guys? Grow the hell up.

No I'm not a AMD hater.(: just though it was funny. Also be honest do you think Piledriver will be better then Ivy?

If AMD promises their 10-15% performance increase then Piledriver and Ivy will be pretty close for the most part. And if it doesn't come close to it I already got my Intel rig setup in my second sig rig.
