Hey guys,

Eventually I'll be purchasing a new case and got my decisions down to two: Corsair 650D and CM Storm Trooper. Corsair keeps it nice and simple yet effective with cable management/cooling and I like the clear side panel to see inside, but it does seem kinda bland with looks. CM brings in some nice styling with the case, but cant see inside with mesh, not sure if I can mount a Corsair H100 in it
They both seem like awesome cases but I honestly cant make up my mind. Could you guys give your opinions and pros/cons of each and any other recommendations if you choose to do so( $200~ budget)

Thanks! biggrin.gif

Out of those two I would say the Corsair Obsidian, but I would suggest looking at the NZXT Phantom which I would say is the best in that price range. See if you might like it as well. Here's some pros and cons:

Pros:
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Great air flow
- Nice cable management

Cons:
- Doesn't fit some large coolers - Ex: silver arrow

Styling is a highly personal choice, of course, so I can't give advice on that but in terms of function, I have the 650D so I can speak to that a bit.

I just got mine a few weeks ago and love it. The H100 fits great up top and I feel the case is HIGHLY modable. For example, I really love the Silverstone FT02 case because it has it's three intake fans on the bottom and exhaust fans on the top. Heat rises and the airflow has a straight path up through the components. I ended up not going with the FT02 case because I couldn't get over the unconventional 90 degree MB layout. However, the 650D can be modded to provide very similar airflow. I modded mine to have two 120mm fans on the bottom of the case, blowing upward toward the video card. Then I have two more 120mm fans on the H100 at the top of the case. I removed the stock 200mm fans (noisy) and re-oriented the top-rear 120mm fan to blow inward. All fans are Gentle Typhoon AP-13's and are near silent. With this configuration I have positive pressure, tons of airflow, and silence. It's an added bonus that the lower fans blow air right at the bottom of the video card which really helps in GPU cooling. Everything else about the 650D case is great; no complaints. Lots of room and options. I had an Antec P-180 prior to this and the quality and thought that went into this case is 10x better than the Antec or any other case I have had. They seemed to design it with modification in mind. Almost nothing is riveted in place; everything is screwed in place so it can be removed or relocated.

I am having the same "dilema" myself. I like the design of the 650D but I like the features of the Storm Trooper.
