Damn it Sean, I knew I shouldn't have looked in this thread. lol biggrin.gif I saw some info on Plextor's upcoming M3 Pro series which should be released sometime in February, hence the price drop on these M3 ssd's. They'll have better iops than the current M3's, but other than that they look like the same exact specs. Anyway, it looks like you've convinced me to finally pull away from SandForce ssd's. Think I'll pickup one 256GB M3 Pro when it comes out once my 120GB Mushkins sell.

I know I saw about the Pro versions, but what ever they will be more $ anyways. I doubt they will be @ a lower price. They are only a few MB better reads /writes, and if worse comes to worse...I can always upgrade too.

Oh, and LOL SandForce. lachen.gif

There's a video from the CES Plextor booth where a lady does the p.r. for some new products. She was pretty bad at it, but hey.....it's been a while since I've bought something with the "Made In Japan" label. A long while.

lol . I think the last thing from Japan I bought were 74 min. cd-r's (which were impossible to find literally anywhere else) a few years back. I used them for dance mix cd's I use to mix. Idk why but I found the 74 min. ones burned with much less errors than 80 min. and I used almost every possible respectable cd-r manufacturer, as well as various cd-rw drives. I searched for months.....finally found them.....and I'm not going to say how much they cost. lol I forgot the name of the site, but it was one of those boutique shops with high-end car & home audio Japanese products.

Here's the Plextor CES booth link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKHwjOt4vcg But I got the iops info from some site Googling "plextor m3 pro"

Unfortunately that's like the only review up on the web. Not that many sites got samples to benchmark it.
