Seasonic 620W with i5 2500k & 560 Ti

Thread Starter
I got a Seasonic S12II 620W PSU. I'm worried that I should have bought a 750TX. Is this PSU safe or should I upgrade to a 750?
What's the worse that can happen if I draw too much power? Will the unit shut down saving my rig? Or will it ruin my rig?
I'm worried.

These are my parts.
  • Asus P8Z68 Deluxe Gen3
  • Intel i5 2500k
  • Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
  • Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus
  • Asus GeForce 560 Ti Direct CU II (not OC edition)
  • Seagate 1 TB single-platter Barracuda 7200.12 HDD
  • Sony DVD-RW
  • Seasonic S12II 620W PSU
  • 4 x 120 mm Case Fans

Can I add more HDD or SSD? I won't add another Graphics card. I may OC a bit on air.

I'm posting this question here because there is no review for the Seasonic S12II 620W.

Thanks! I was worried because that Board, Processor and Graphics Card costs a fortune for me!

Agreed. Your PSU is more than adequate, but not quite overkill. Id say you found the sweet spot.

Yes, you can easily add more HDD or SSD.

Yeah definitely DON'T be worried... you have lots of headroom, plus that is a great PSU brand/unit.

Yup def no problems, I'm running my sig rig on that PSU and no problems at all.

100% clear for takeoff.
Enjoy your flight!

You're probably only going to draw ~350-450 watts. Add all the HDD's, SSD's, Fans and the like. Have fun!

you could probably run 2 560's if you didn't run furmark or anything.. You have nothing at all to worry about.
