ASUS Rampage IV Extreme - ATX Power Port/Cable Question

ASUS Rampage IV Extreme - ATX Power Port/Cable Question
Quick and EASY Question: The manual shows three ATX power ports on the board; a 24-pin along the right (SATA) edge, and an 8-pin and a 4-pin, both near the CPU on the top edge of the board. Do I need to plug power to all three of these ports? The manual seems to indicate that I only need power to the 24-pin and either the 8-pin OR the 4-pin (near the CPU). My PSU has sufficient CPU cables to power all three ports, but the manual isn't clear.

I'd say you could just use 8 pin near the CPU, & if it's anything like the R3E (that i own, exept it has extra molex instead) all the other ATX are for extra power to the GPU.ect & Overclocking.

BTW, nice mobo.

Just the 24-Pin and 8-Pin CPU. The additional 4-pin for heavy CPU OC but no harm if you want to plug the power in.

The manual says "will not boot" means if either 8 or 4-pin not plug in.
