Should I get: White iMac 2GHz / 2GB / 250GB / X1600 / No DVDRW for $400?

I've just sold my MacBook Pro Early-2006 for $500 after buying it for $300 and adding a 320GB WD Scorpio Blue.

I sold it because it was a Core Duo, not a Core 2 Duo and I need OS X Lion for some of the apps I've been wanting to use.

For $400 I've found an iMac White August 2007 with the following specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz (He says 2.0Ghz but when I mentioned that only Core Duo models have 2.0GHz he says it could be a 2.16 then, as he knows it's definitely a 20" Core 2 Duo.)

2GB DDR2 RAM (He said 1GB at first, but since the drive is broken he let me off with 2GB.)

250GB SATA HDD (Nothing installed right now, so I'll grab my external 2.5" drive, take it apart, plug a SATA cable into it and then plug the other end into my current PC's DVD Drive, while still using the power from my running PC to start it up, then make an OSX Lion disc to install that way, then later fix the drive in the iMac for $5 from eBay for a connector, he promises this is the problem.)

20" Unmarked Screen (1600x1050 Resolution)

ATi Radeon X1600 128MB Graphics (Not upgradable, not sure if this is better or the same as my MBP's X1600 128MB since I'm not sure if they are both mobility or just the MacBook's is.)

And so that's what I can get for $400, he says he was going to sell it for $500 but since it's got no drive I can have it for $400. It's apparently actually got the drive, but no connector, so if that's true I'll grab it for $400 and fix it for $5.

I could have gotten a HDDless MacBook 2008 white for $300, but since it doesn't have a dedicated GPU I'll stick with this.

So basically: Anyone think this is a good idea? Anyone think it's a bad idea?

Thanks

No matter the processor speed (It's C2D minimum) you really need 4gb for lion. I'd see how expensive it is to upgrade that, and if you even can. Otherwise it looks pretty good.

What's the need for 4GB on Lion?

Is it that I should have it for good performance, or I actually NEED it to do anything?
