Trying to OC, but have no idea what im doing

Im trying to get a slight OC out of my rig but no matter what i do in the bios nothing budges. Im a total newb, can anyone tell me where to start.

I retract that.. I did some digging and you have it posted it just didnt come up in your signature.. So the AMD with an Asus mobo.. Hmm not terribly fimilar..

shot in the dark.. Take blck and multiplier off manual and start with a multi of 1 or 2 more than w.e it was set too..

take the vcore off manual and increase it .1v

Download prime95 and Realtemp and run realtemp and then prime blend.. make sure temps done go above 70 under full load and ur stable for 20mins.. repeat until you bsod or get to a temp of 75..

Basially wait till someone else answers sry

if AMD, search in the bar "your processor name + oc" or something to that extent.

Those are good places to start... I don't have any specifics on your system so I can't give you more direct info frown.gif

Not 100% sure this is the same CPU but I think this will give you a great start

thanks guys, i dont know exactly why it wouldnt oc, but i recently bought several new components including a new cpu and mobo and they are much more user friendly.
