ATTN: CMStorm Spawn Mouse owners - Page 2

Hi Guys,

As for the wobble on the buttons, if you ever have trouble we offer 2 year warranty on this product and will take care of it.

Also.... everyone dying for a 800 DPI solution for the Spawn.... stay tuned. Should have a new firmware update out for you after Chinese New Year.

It may be just me, but I am constantly clicking the DPI up button when trying to click the left mouse button (just left of the scroll wheel), which would constantly mess up my aim. I have since disabled this button.

@CMCarter: wouldn't it be a ton easier to just provide a 900 DPI step by discarding half the counts from 1800 DPI?

We have a team working it, it does seem from an outsiders pov, this would in fact be the easiest solution. Unfortunately the results were not what we were hoping for. We are confident we are super close to a solution I think everyone will be happy with.

Wow Carter, I am really glad to hear that cause the only Reason I am not using it right now is that I have to have on 1800dpi
for best performance. If you get the 800dpi to work properly this mouse is just perfect.

Wow, thanks for the response. I'm wondering something, with this new firmware update, will the problems with using different polling rates be fixed? As of current, I am using 30a (the only one that seems to work with my mousepad consistantly) what polling rate do you suggest I use? I read that I should use 125, but I prefer to use 1000hz, will the perfect control speeds be fixed with the new firmwares, and will they fix the tracking on different mousepads?

Awesome watching for the update

The mouse will be perfect when they change the ridiculous cable (really how did that get through QA?) and fix the buttons so that you can actually bind keys to it.

The mouse will be perfect when you can plug it into another machine, fire up the software and the software actually reads the configuration from the on-board memory rather then reverting all the settings to defaults so you don't know what your previous settings were.

What's wrong with the cable? Personally, I don't mind it. I take it over a braided cable, they always just seem to fray on the edge of my desk :T

I thought at first the cable felt cheap compared to the braided cable on the G9x but I've since gotten used to it. Using a bungee I have no problems with it.

I just bought the spawn and it's a very nice mouse, but I have one issue with it. I can't seem to get mouse buttons 6 or 7 to work with Shift or Ctrl buttons through the software; it sets them up, but nothing occurs when I press mouse buttons 6 or 7. I looked on CM's official forums, but there doesn't seem to be much information on this or a solution.
