hey guys, I recently bought this mouse but have been having major issues and am close to RMA on this thing. Basically windows wont detect my mouse. I can change USB ports, warm boot, cold boot, different computers and nada. In fact the light flicks on then off when i plug it in, then I need to tap my mouse to get the light on, but still no detect. Tried almost everything, cant even update firmware due to the mouse not being detected. Any clue on how to resolve this issue?

I just bought my mouse this Friday and its done the same things with not being detected. I was moving the wire on the end of the usb plug and the mouse was detected by windows. But the optical sensor light was on, so Im guessing at least with mine that there's a short in one or more of the wires. That could be the case for yours as well. I had to twist the wire a certain way to get windows to recognize the mouse and its been working fine. Hopefully I can take it back tomorrow and get a replacement.

I wonder if there will even be a new firmware like carter said. I think they focus more on the recon now.

For sure there will, the recon will use the same sensor

If they're using the same micro controller for both mice. Otherwise focus will indeed shift to the newer product.

I just wanted to confirm the rx 3090 mod being bulletproof sofar for me. Extras: using the wmo m1/m2 switches glued to the top-shell part -> 100% customizable click/switch. On a Qpad the lod exactly one dvd, for those who want avoid lod-tapes. I caught myself not changing the mouse with other mice in allday/gaming/overall usage for the last two weeks.

Is there any way to make the wheel functional?
I would love to make this mod as it whould be definitely an upgrade to my G1 with the same shape <3

Can you put pics with the complete process and explanation for clumsy like me?

From the pictures he linked, it seems he cut out the encoder (wheel).

No yet unknown dirty magick involved. The most valuable tools for this imo were a hot-glue-pistol, soldering gun and this

This is my second project, the first was a kinzu adder w/ custom switches/led. Before that i was as clumsy as you are now. Thundas kinzuadder pics/mod inspired me in first place and helped me through the imagine-barrier. Basicly there is one idea: change the inner stuff from one to another. Do baby steps and be patient and you cant go wrong. I would recommend you even a plan/schedule before start. At page 26 are some pics.
