New sound card help.

Hey all i been looking into a new soundcard.. Jus got 5.1 surround speakers and i have a built in soundcard.. they sound ok.. but i want better quality.

i seen these badboys.. from the cheapest site i could find...

Know any other ones around the price, maybe cheaper i could get them or a better kind..

Creative X-Fi Platinum is a brilliant sound card, if you want to save some money the Creative X-Fi music is also very good, THE x-Fi music is 50 quid from this site: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...und_Cards.html

Thers also a good list of soundcards there, an even cheaper option is one of the Audigys, also very good cards.

yeh you dont need the platinum version unless your really into editing your music, or you need one of the extra connections.

The normal bog standard xfi should sufice

The Platinum version simply is not needed unless you are doing some studio editing really. The XF-I is a lovely sound card and is crystal clear and is seriously better than all the rest.
