Yeah, honestly, it took 2 windows disk management shrink/extend "moves", then 2 gparted resizes to fully transfer everything, the same happened to me a long while ago when i thought my processor only supported 32 bit, but it did support 64 bit, so then i had to install a 64bit win7 partition. doh.gif

Ah, I've seen that Windows.old folder at times when doing installs. The name made it obvious what it was, but I never knew the details (why it was left behind) and all. I guess now I know.
