I see a picture that is 40 years old taken from outer space in which a detail cannot be seen. I would assume it is because of the quality of the camera used at the time.
I presented a picture taken with a modern camera that shows debris and trails left by astronauts who have been there.

ok thank you

Why wouldn't it have been a pic of North America and specifically showing the U.S.? It is NASA...

I have a VTECH Camera here that I got my son. It's about the same quality as the first digital camera I ever had, and that was...1998ish I wanna say. It's pretty sad that a cheap toy from 2011 has the same quality (and more features) then my pretty expensive digital cam from the late nineties.

I now have a Canon Rebel T1i. I notice that colors are more sharp, more clear, and generally a whole crapton then that digital camera from 1998 that I had.

Now, digital imaging is moving at an insane rate. If you can't understand why the picture from space with a modern Digital Camera has so much definition and clarity then a camera from the 1970's...I don't know what to tell you. Saying the old picture might be faked because you don't see everything like you do with the new picture is like saying the Athlon Fx60 is a fake AMD processor, since it can't run Skyrim smoothly, because the new FX you have now can.

Also you're a moon landing doubter? Go tell that to Buzz Aldrin, hopefully you get this done to you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUFO8AGMwic

Clarity and detail is one thing but missing features are another thing altogether. Even in the 1972 photo, I think I at least would see a hazy outline indicating the ozone layer but there's nothing at all. No shallow waters around the coast lines, could be lack of clarity but I can't fathom the water being so dark blue when it's so close to land like that. There looks to be water in Africa where there shouldn't be any. Also should be able to see a bit of India due just south east of the Middle East but it looks to be replaced with something else that doesn't even resemble it. As far as the moon landing, you believe what you want and we'll leave it at that.

Strange, a technology hobbyist doubts these things. Why would you have reservations about this? What makes you doubt it? Any evidence whatsoever?
