I was told that Cpuz can tell you if its OEM or ES SAMPLE....

But i am a noob and dont know about this stuff...Please help me?
Tell me what ive got here?

Thank guys!

I am posting my cpuz and bench...I am a noob,i know nothing about what all this stuff means!

I doubt it is ES.

It was likely cheap because there isn't a huge market out there for laptop CPUs. Considering the stepping is D2 I highly doubt it was anything except OEM channel.

That's weird that CPU-Z and WIndows are reporting different processors...

Try this:

Download Intel Burn Test. Set it to test on all 8 threads (don't forget this part), open CPU-Z, and start the test. Then take a screenshot. CPU-Z should report the real-time CPU multiplier and frequency that your chip is running at (should be 22x100=2.2GHz). Then stop the test and set it to run on only 1 thread. CPU-Z should then either report 31x or 33x multiplier. The 2670QM should have a max Turbo of 3.1GHz while the 2720QM can do 3.3GHz on a single thread.

Thread Starter
Through various testing it just gets worse. It goes from 800mhz idle,to 2300 then back to 800 then up to 2600 then down and when i select one thread i get 27 or 2800,and the top speeds were 3.0 and 3.1... Im lost.. Could it be that since this pc only comes with an I5,that the bios only likes dual and not quad core chips? That i might need the bios from the next model up from this that has an I7?Its really weird,i ran prime95 which obviously uses full cpu and it was up and down,up and down, from 800 up to 2500 then down and up to 3000 back to 2200..so on and so on....All the while prime95 on full blast...Just strange.
I really dont know much about bios other than how to use it for overclocking and sata management. So im lost here..Check these out, they're labeled.
