Best wireless gigabit router for <$100? - Page 3

Right now I'm stuck with terrible DIR-600, its single omni-directional antenna covers 2/3rd of my apartment (2 floors) so I'm looking for something with at least as good WiFI and gigabit WAN/LAN.
I've had my eyes on NetGear WNR3500L ($85, EU prices) for a while now; it looks REALLY solid except for no external antenna (WiFi coverage is very important).
Another contender is TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND ($65); it's really cheap and has 3 external antenas.
There's also D-Link DIR-655 ($110) but I have bad taste after DIR-600 and it doesn't support DD-WRT so yeah... It's also the most expensive.
Which one should I get? Or perhaps there is something even better for the price?
Edit: Submit instead of preview -.-

Get the WR1043ND and put Gargoyle software on it!

That is what I am running right now and love it. Lots of ram and great price. And supported with linux software.

The 3700v2 has 64MB of RAM and the 3800 has 128MB of RAM.

But overall I have my 3700v2 with 10-15 devices and it works without a hitch.
This is on their stock firmware derived from OpenWRT.
Also supports a total of 4096 simultaneous connections.

Actually you were right.

The Netgear 3500L v2 does have 128MB of RAM

Those were just some other alternatives if you were planning on going on the Dual Band Spectrum, with more processing power.
