Fan Controller - Page 2

Stay away from the NZXT Sentry 2 as it has issues with a growning list of fans.

I have one myself but its back in the box until i can be bothered to RMA it.
I bought mine and installed it with 120mm Yate Loons,2 high,2 medium and ran all my fans flat out 100% and didnt care about the noise at all.

Few months later i was sick of all the fan noise so looked into running the fans at lower speed and bring my overclock down.
When i ran my fans on low speed there would be a horrid kinda grinding noise, sometimes sounding electrical buzzing.

Anyway mines getting sent back when i can be bothered as i like to run my fans on low speed now,i like a quiet pc
Its a quite well know issue thats widespread but some people do report no problems at all.

+1. Thats what I use.Imported from the US since I couldn't get here in NZ and worth every penny. Looks great with the HAF X as well. Can control lots of fans of one channel like I do with my water cooling.

that's what i use too. i can care less if it was knob or LCD. i bought the rheosmart6 because it takes the speed control from a PWM and controls all of the fans i have with that signal. so, if my cpu gets hot, ALL of the fans i have hooked up to the controller speeds up. it's essentially a fan multiplexer and with 6 x 30w per channel, you can have all kinds of possibilities for cooling and it can all be automatic. after all, the most accurate temp sensor you have and the only one that actually matters is the one built into your CPU:)

I use a Lamptron FC-5 v2 and it's great. 30w per channel so I can add heaps of fans (there are 10 connected to it) and it looks the best IMO

I use this:

475

But then again... I run fans that would blow up even the beefiest fan controllers out there. biggrin.gif
