You don't need a PS+ subscription, and I would thanks. I am using mine as a cell phone via Skype. $30 a month for internet and phone, yes please.

Also they sold 3G versions in Japan, just not nearly as much as Wifi.... which isn't really surprising is it?

You do not HAVE to buy the 3G plan, 3G is an option.

The only reason to buy the Wifi model is if you don't want a memory card. If you don't want a memory card, then you cant play certain games - the big title games like Uncharted and PSN games. Making it pretty much functionless beyond MvC3.

Let's face it, it doesn't matter what we say these guys don't want a Vita and they love to post about that.

PSP failing had nothing to do with its hardware. The reason most people are hesitant to by a Vita will be for the same reason.

Implying you can't buy a memory card separately .
Where are you getting $45 for the card? Even in Canada its $30. So for the second bundle that's an extra $50 for a $30 card and a PSN game you only get for signing up with AT&T.

the card is $35 MSRP. I think this 3G deal is worth it. the wifi version is $250 + an 8GB card would be $285. This deal has the 3G version for only $15 more and on top of that you get a PSN game. I probably won't use 3G right now, but I may in the future, as I suspect sony will eventually lift the 20mb limit.

Even if I never use it, I still end up paying pretty much the same price as the wifi version, since I'm going to buy the 8GB card either way.
