question about my g500

I just bought the mouse and was messing around with the weights. One of them got stuck and eventually I got it out using a paperclip. I also noticed what looked like another paperclip inside there. Kind of a dumb question but did I get one stuck or is that a part of the mechanism for holding the weights or something.

If the mouse is upside-down and you're looking down into the slot, that small metal bit is the spring that pushes the cartridge back out when you release the latch.

You can see it's actually in a tiny slot that lets it move up and down as the weights are slid in.

Oh I see. I hope I didn't break it or anything trying to yank it out.
