The things you have listed basically find any laptop that's newer and it'll work.

With such little uses and requirements, and a decent budget, just get whatever you think you need + a little extra for down the road or maybe spur of the moment light gaming. Pretty much any modern HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc will do the job. Just find you one like. With that budget there isn't a thing on your list that you can't get.

I would say take a look at one of the Lenovos on their site, very high quality. Just about every business I know of either uses Lenovo (IBM) or Dell Vostro computers. My mom has a Dell Vostro and I love it, I myself have a G74Sx and it's a solid choice but it doesn't sound like you want a heavier, bulky laptop, but you could pick one up with a 2630QM and 560m 2gb (128bit version) for under $1000 on newegg, they come with two Scorpio Black 500gb hard drives too. The only dells I would recommend are the new XPS and Vostro.

Otherwise you can always go to Sager or Xoticpc and configure the hardware to what you actually need, they both have great options.
