Is the M4 the way to go?

Or any Marvell based SSD for that matter? I hear bad things from the Sandforce side, instability related issues and suchlike.

I'm looking at the M4 and there's a good price on it right now. I've got a coupon for 7% off.

I want to pull the trigger, but before I do, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Reflux

Yes. It's a great SSD. You should get it, especially if you can get a discount.

Yeah, it's a £1 per GB price. £127.76 for the 128GB version. Delivered.

Edit: Screw it, going for it.

Good choice. I set mine up earlier. Great speeds, and 7.9 on WEI (Though that doesn't mean anything).

Make sure to post pics if you can! smile.gif it is a great drive, make sure to update the firmware to 0309 when you get it too. it fixes a BSOD restart issue.

Yeah updating the firmware will be the first thing I do before putting windows on it. I'll take some pictures if I remember.

Oh wow, that's awesome. I'm only getting the 64GB version but still, my Mushkin gets 278 on AS SSD.

Just bought one myself!

I reckon that '£1 per GB' is going to be the clincher for loads of people , hard to turn it down a that price!
