Thoughts on the K90

Thought I'd test how good the k90 as a quick initial review.

Feels a quite weird, but i guess thats to be expected, the key actuation is pretty light. The matte keys will take a while to get use to. Really dont like that the light is not consistent between all keys (as they're not mech).

Woah just looked down at the keys, they got marks on them already. While lightly touching the keys with the marks the keys got pressed, not sure if thats a good thing. Also while pressing ctrl arrow it added like 10 spaces between two words. It also quickly skipped several keys when I pressed crtl arrow quickly. OK just realised why that is. Seems you have to bring up the arrow fully each time otherwise it thinks its still pressed and skips multiple words. This could be possible due me plugging it in a crap USB hub...

Marks are pretty evident now, with just 5 minutes of use. While pressing ctrl and shift together noticed the shift key is slightly higher than the ctrl key.

If im totally honest, I dont like it, yet. I'll give it till Sunday and send it back. Cant be unsure with a £104 keyboard.

I've been using a second hand logitech wireless keyboard for the last 5 years and its brilliant. Its not mech but otherwise is perfect. I bought this to compliment my new rig and heard good things about it. Also its loud, which was to be expected, but is a bit annoying.

The software that comes with it has had major issues which i've heard have been fixed, though I will install if i decide to keep.

Also I've use various keyboard during the day, crappy dell laptop keyboard, dell desktop keyboard, and they're fine. This however doesnt feel right for me.

Anyways couldnt think of a better way to test this keyboard than to write a thread about it

just looks like oil from your skin, especially since you can see your finger prints.

try wiping them down?

Yes sorry that was what I was referring to when I said marks. I really dont like it, nothing much I can do about my hands unless i wash them everytime i want to use the keyboard. Wiping them down works but i dont want to do this so often.

I much prefer the IBM mech keyboards i used at uni. It had a better coating on the keys and the actuation felt a little deeper. The thought of spend over £100 on a keyboard is crazy but i thought this would be worth it. I used to look at the logitech gaming keyboards at just over half this price and thought those were overpriced but might just get one of those.
