Can I "half sleeve" my PSU Cables?

Hey, I'm going to be sleeving for the first time, and my Power supply is Semi Modular (TX850M) and I was wondering If I could sleeve only a part of the 24 pin connector. Since 90% of the cable is hidden behind the panel, Is it possible to only sleeve the first 4-6 Inches of the cable that connects to the motherboard? I was thinking that if you put about 6" of paracord on the end that connects to the Mobo, and heatshrink the other side of the paracord to the original cable? Is it possible?

Sorry if I sound a little redundant.

Yes, I did it with mine. (I used MDPC, but same idea)

Just heatshrink the big bundle with the original sleeving so it doesn't fray everywhere.

Sometimes extensions just add too much overall length when trying to neatly manage cables behind most normal motherboard trays.

Yes you can half sleeve them with no problem.
