I know I am too late, but I have bought this case after having seen your great build, and hopefully my rig will be ready in a month.
You gave me great ideas and ispiration.
And now two questions:
How do you obtained the dark look of the ali ? is it Plasti Dip ?
I can't understand the answer you gave about the way you mounted the radiator to the base of the case, probably
because my english is non perfect (actually far from it.... I am from Italy) - if you have some pics it would help
Thank You

Not sure what you mean by 'dark look of the ali'. What is the ali you are referring too?

The FT02 comes with a pair of plastic mounts normally used to hold a 120mm radiator over top the 180mm fans. I used them as feat to hold the radiator off the case floor.

sorry, my fault, my english is really poor....
with 'dark look of the ali' i mean dark look of the power supply.
What i want to know if is painted, only removed the decals or in somehow wrapped in black.
About the radiator mount, now I have understood clearly
Thank you

I don't think I removed any stickers from the power supply either. Both of the sides w/ stickers face directions that are hidden.

well, evidently a well planned choice.
My FT02 build started differently, initially my case of choice was the Corsair Obsidian 900D but after having seen your work, and the one of lvl8hacker initially, I changed my plan and opted for the Fortress FT02.
My power supply is the Corsair AX 760i wich has stickers on both sides so I will have to remove or cover it somehow (I am planning a full black color scheme)
My other components are a Asus Sabertooth P87 Motherboard with Ybris Black sun extreme black waterblock, Intel 4770K cpu, Corsair Vegeance 4*4 Gb ram, Sapphire 6870 with EK full cover waterblock + black backplate vga, XSPC reservoir with D5 pump, black 19/13 tubing, magicool 3*180 radiator, 3 Phobia 180 mm slim fans, SILVERSTONE FP58B bay adapter (will hold a SILVERSTONE SST-SOD02 Slot-In Slim DVD Drive + 2 SEAGATE Momentus XT - 2,5'' 750GB/8GB Flash 7200RPM 32MB SATA 3) + various matte black tube connectors.
Still undecided about the fan controller.
To achieve the total black look I too need to get rid of the clear rivets, but can't find black ones here in Italy, so Y will try to cover them with Plasti Dip paint
Inthe next 2 days all the parts should be in my house

As for the two sound cards. Unfortunately they both won't work. Seems there is a driver conflict. I can't even remove the card without draining the loop.

* The case looks awsome> I am suprised to see you went with 2 sound cards> I was looking at the azuntech model> but didn't have a pci slot for it> went with the Creative Ti HD and have never looked back, the card has a simple user interface, with alot of solid options etc> the Xonar XD it replaced is inferior compared to this card capabilities, much more balanced sound with a deeper sense presence it brings to the audio, the xonar was a decent card, but didn't like the power wires it required to connect to the pc (too messy and a hassle to remove if required) , also the audio balance settings where glitchy as well. Your gonna like the Creative soundcard.

I think the clear side panel needs to be larger doesnt seem to do justice to the setup.

Decided I am going to use the FT02BW as the case for my ESXi server. Of course it will be fully sleeved and watercooled (w/ acrylic). Here are a few macros I took. Still waiting on the sleeving and some hardware to arrive.

This is the edge of the CPU. I wanted to take a picture of the actual writing on the CPU but I am unable to get the camera close enough while the board is laying down.

A few more of various things on the PCB.

And then some MDPC-X colour-x SATA sleeve. It took me like 5 minutes to get this pic in focus. doh.gif
