7300 GT without cooler?

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, i have a evga 7300 gt with 256mb ddr. The problem is that the cooler started 2 days ago to make too much noise, like it is touching a cable or something like that. i checked and nothing is touching it, when i open the case and press the cooler the sound stops and the normal running continue but after some minutes it start again and some minutes later the sound stops.

The thing is if i can run this vga card without the fan, i mean disconnect the power of the fan from the vga board.

Or if anyone knows, a solution to repair it!

Thank you,

Ariel

Well if you unplug the fan then it's probably gonna overheat and die.

I'd look at an aftermarket cooler like the Zalman VF900.

that'd be a bit over the top for a 7300gt,i'd contact evga and ask for them to send you a replacement cooler,as they allow people to fit their own without breaking warranty don't they?
