Click your windows 7 orb, type in snip. You pick where you save it when your done. I love it!

Also found this video tutorial which I'll take a look at later on, anything I should be cautious of?

That is possible. with extreeme cooling, or a nice water loop. Depends on how many volt's he's using and what his temps are. Never past 1.50-1.55v for 24/7 usage, and never past mid 50's on temp's or stability might become an issue.

With my silver arrow I was running tests at 4.2Ghz on air, in the lower 40's temp wise too.

Use the snipping tool in windows work great for screen shots.
My setup is very close to yours and i hit 4.0ghz ran bf3 and few other games stable, but as i found out my board needs a few things before i go back to that, new cooler too.So im curious to see how you make out with you OC venture.

I was making the comment about taking screen shots in BOIS. I know about the snipping tool, and you cannot use that in BOIS...LAWL..lol

I have also upgraded the Laptop 4 GB RAM. And also upgraded i tto Core i7..

Hmm, reference mr. 4.55GHz 965BE up there, he has the same cooler as me (NH-D14), my load temps I checked today are 58degC or so, at only 4.0GHz. Should I be re-seating my cooler or is this OK for a 3.99GHz 955BE?

I'm really wanting to call bull**** on his 4.5Ghz. He'd really have to have a PERFECT chip, and even then, I think 4.5 on air is pushing it pretty hard..lol He even said 1.55v or something? I've tried 1.55v for 4.2 and I was still wanting for more, but temps and just pure voltage required to go further stopped it.

Dont.

Ive seen that a few times with the 955.

I have a close friend with a GTX470 that can do 875core fully stable, on air, without overheating.

Golden chips exist, but they are golden for a reason.

I can do 875 on my 470's. And I hardly consider them golden. Maybe a silver? lol

I know the 955's, 965's, and later series are all fairly similar. But let's keep in mind he's using a 965BE not a 955. They are different, even just a little.

He might be able to achieve 4.5ghz. I'd certainly bow down to his chip and overclocking skills if I could see that thing running tests that prove the speed. But a CPU-Z validation link alone really shows me nothing. I "Can" boot my system at 4.5ghz, run CPU-Z get it validated and call it stable. I'm gonna try and see if he shows tests with that speed

There isnt a difference between the 965 and the 955 in anything but 200MHz If memory serves.
Even architecturally.
There IS a difference between booting and being stable, but I have seen fully stable 955 and 965s at that speed back in the heyday of Phenom II.

As for the 470 thing, It depends on the specifics.
My 470 can run at 875 core under air stable, but I have to max out the voltage, and it will overheat.
Its virtually physically impossible for a 470 to hit 900 core on air without burning up, so hitting 875 on air without maxing the voltage is rare.
VERY rare.

Im talking hitting 875 with 1037 and still being under 100C.
The vast majority of 470s hit a voltage wall at about 700MHz and then fight to hit anything more than 800 core at a tolerable temp.
I know mine eats voltage like mad after 725 core and sits at 102 or 103 under 99% load.
