Not insane, but not the coolest either smile.gif

Going to tear down the system tonight, my clocks are all back to stock thanks to a BIOS update yesterday - I'm going to reseat the cooler, clean everything and try to get CrossFire working properly before I oc it again. If anyone can help out I have a few questions on the best method to slot that second card in without a hitch. I'd think about redoing the thermal paste on NB and SB as well but I may end up having to RMA this board if the dual card setup still refuses to work and I have a feeling that'd be bad for warranty.

Im living alittle more south than you, and have the window open as well. You dont need to put the computer at the window to get it cold, hehe, but if you do, dont do it on days when it is luftfuktighet in the air. And try not to svette to mutch ;-)

Dont have weet clothes in the room etc, and I think you should be fine! When having the ambient temp at 0 - -5 you can increase voltage alot and still dont get mutch heat, hehe,

And im using wc, I would belive that the improvment is even better while using ac
post #67 of 70
That's quite voltage you've got there in the CPU. I'm not saying you cannot go 4,5GHz on air, if you get a good cooler with a pair of fans and decent ambient temp. ofc you can go for it. However getting 4,5GHz on 1,55V and claiming it to be stable it's something completelly different.

Nope...

pulled system down, cleaned everything, reseated CPU (after tearing it out violently, bending 5 pins and straightening them up again after it stuck to the cooler, lol) and Prime95 under load with the case side off still runs at 48degC.

Pretty sure it's just the weather up here frown.gif

Might need water on the next build I think biggrin.gif

edit: and that's only running at stock - 3.2GHz!!
